Colorful Autumn 2011

During the last 3 weeks the weather in Germany is changing a lot… From warm and sunny to cold and sunny and the last two days it’s just getting colder and colder without any sun…
The birds are gone, searching for a nicer and warmer (!) place… It’s getting silent over here in Hanover… Doesn’t sound very good, huh?

But there’s still one thing that makes the changing of the seasons adorable..:

Beautiful colors on every tree around us…

Bubble Tea Addicted

Some weeks ago a Bubble Tea Shop opened in Hanover… It’s the first one for the Capital City of Lower Saxony…. So everyone (at least it feels like everyone) is hiding there to try the suspicios tea with small “things” in it…
Well, the small “things” are Tapioka Pearls, Jelly or (my favorite) Popping Boba… A lot of different tastes which you can combine like you wish…

Most of the Bules don’t like the traditional Tapioka Pearls. They say that the soft consistency from the outside don’t match with the inside, which you have to chew very long…

Sadly the BoboQ opened at the beginning of autumn… The weather doesn’t really match with iced-bubble-tea… Since it’s raining nearly all the time, most of us prefer a hot chocolate/tea or coffee…hihi
But still, MY wallet is getting thinner and thinner drinking Bubble Tea nearly every week.....haha

earthquake in Bali

on Thursday the 13th of October 2011 at 11:16 ..
an earthquake in Bali ..
I felt the earthquake itself, because living in bali ..
that was the biggest earthquake I've ever had ..
at that time I was studying at the 3rd floor,,
it's very very awful, several buildings were badly damaged in Bali, and also there are some victims of the earthquake ..
some school buildings were destroyed, even the supermarkets are also destroyed.
not finished until there was an aftershock occurs again at 16:00 ..
at that time I was in the shower so I don't feel the earthquake, as told my friends that the earthquake occurred at 16:00 hours was big enough.
I'll give you some photographs of buildings damaged by the quake ..
itu adalah foto suasana setelah gempa bumi..
genteng berjatuhan itu mengenai beberapa korban..
even many cars are damaged by this earthquake ..
I hope that will not happen again..
I hope we can all pray for the safety of Bali and our planet ..
I am very grateful for all the public attention to the earthquake in bali ..

Hamburg

Last weekend I went to Hamburg, it’s in the north of Germany. A Journey about two and a half hours away from Hanover (If you use the “snail-train”).
There was a festival at the indonesian consulate. During the last month there was the Indonesian Independence Day (17th August). Normally they are celebrating it on the 17th with an “Upacara” (it’s the Flag Ceremony) and a lot of food. Well this year the 17th was during the fasting month Ramadan, so the celebration on the 17th wasn’t that big. After Ramadan and Idul Fitri they made this big festival for celebrating the 17th AND the end of Ramadan.

Thanks to Facebook I have a picture from the event.. Zwinkerndes Smiley

After the event at the consulate I walked around Hamburg… It’s a beautiful city, especially at night. I watched a wonderful firework and now I can tell you watching a firework with your beloved one makes it even brighter…. Zwinkerndes Smiley

The Heart That Loves....

... Is Always Young...

I took that picture on my last day in Copenhagen. It was an old couple, walking down the street holding hands. Such moments which make you happy, even though you don't know why..
Small things can make you smile, that's why you have to keep attention to them and share them with friends...

Daily Inspiration

Last week my professor weard some interesting shoes. First my friends and me were laughing, but after a while i thought these shoes are quite cool; Maybe they're just not matching with the rest of her clothes. I took a closer look at them, and yeeahh I found the name of the brand :) It was "un"... today i finally had the time to search for it in the internet.
The short cut "un" stands for "united nude" its a brand founded by a dutch architect (!!) and a shoemaker from England.
My personal favorits are:
..."Frame" frome the Ultra Collection

...and "Haiku" from The Classics

The Shoes which my professor weard are called "Fold", they are part of "The Classics"..

If you want to see more of these gorgeous shoes check out there page http://www.unitednude.com/

Artist and Batik

I never saw an Indonesian artist who always used batik in each one of their performances.. But now I found one, her name is Agnes Monica.. She always used batik in each one of her performance,, she could become the inspiration whoever possibly now still is thinking that the batik was old.. she always used modern batik which were mix with the western style.. And now Agnes is trying to go international.. she also became guest host in America Music Award.. In AMA she always weared batik.. The Batik she used is very modern..
I have agnes's photograph at AMA, here are the pictures
here you can see agnes with batik at AMA..
I think she always wears beautiful batik mixed with western styles, so it looks more modern...
In her new video clip she is wearing the kind of batik which i just explaned..
Here are some pictures from the Clip..

I hope you can use this post as an inspiration.. and maybe it makes you love batik even more.. ;)

Batik at University Hanover

During the last weeks the weather is getting better n better in Hanover.
Yesterday Morning I thought I should wear Batik trousers. Like the ones which "Aladdine and Yasmine" wear, only difference my one is out of Batik.. ;)
I didn't know what the other students would think about my style - who cares, I'm crazy 'bout this trousers...
In fact some of them really loved it! They even asked me where they can buy it.. :D

Sadly in Germany they don't sell Batik (maybe I just don't know the places ;))... And I guess If there would be a Shop with Batik Items it would be quite expensive.
So no other choice than visiting a great country like Indonesia, buying some Batik and getting unforgettable memories.. ;)
